Description:
PLOCAN is the offshore oceanic platform of Canary Islands. It is a multidisciplinary scientific and technological initiative aiming at the construction and operation of an oceanic platform for scientific purposes. It will be located at the border of the continental platform and will enable the installation of different types of facilities among which those dedicated to deepsea observation will have an important role.
EMSO is actively collaborating with this initiatives with the aim of establishing a deep-sea observatory.
